Outgrowing Your Season

In life we have outgrown clothes, activities, grades, friendships, relationships, and careers. If we can outgrow it, what do we do?

Out growth occurs when our interests diverge. For example, think back to when you were in high school. Everyone was part of a clique or wanted to be part of a clique. Or everyone had a high school sweetheart or wanted one. Nine times out of ten what happened, Maturity, especially to the teenaged females. When the clique of friends or boyfriend did not mature as quickly as we would have liked, they were cut off. Why? It is due to the difference of Priorities, and not having anything in common anymore worth talking about.

The only thing one can do when the time of outgrowth has come is to just follow your own path. We are all obligated to discover our own future, but everyone and everything can not be in the same place at the same time…it will be too crowded for change to occur. Sometimes people and things encourage growth and at other times they can hinder growth. Often times it is hard to let go or say goodbye, but find that inner strength and courage to do what is deemed necessary for you.

As you outgrow your season with things and people, do not cut the loss and forget them, instead use the encounter as a learning experience. Accept the fact that some things are for a season, reason, or a lifetime. The beautiful thing about seasons is that they come back around when the time is right.

My challenge to you: Be Kind, trust your instincts, and ALWAYS be yourself. Change is a continuous aspect in the circle of life.

“It’s all said and done, it’s been real, and it’s been fun!”
